Music, the language of conveying our common emotions, acquires its strength through our collaboration and companionship. In this regard, the music section of the ISAUA is pleased to hold its first public session. The primary purpose of this session is to bring together and familiarize all the active individuals in music in Edmonton. Since this session is not limited to people with any specific music interest or any level of skill, everyone is invited including those who have or have had any level of experience in music (even though too little) or those who are interested to get familiar with Edmonton musicians. Below is the summary of this session’s program.
– A brief introduction by the participants of the session and preparing an online list of the individuals with their names and contact information.
– Setting up regular music meetings.
– Providing future programs including music classes, occasional and amateur performances, and etc.
Those who cannot make it to participate are welcome to provide ISAUA with their email addresses. They will be informed about the results of the session.
Becoming a University professor is one potential career option for PhD students after graduation. But how easy is to obtain such positions? What are the main duties of a faculty member in North American Universities and how different are those in Iranian schools? What are the most important evaluating parameters? What are the appropriate time and approach to apply for faculty positions? Financially considering and compared to industrial jobs, how profitable are such careers?
To find the answers to these questions, join us on the very first scientific seminar by the new ISAUA committee. Within this 1.5 hours panel, three of Iranian engineering faculty members at the University of Alberta will discuss all the relevant topics and answer your questions. So you can send us your questions via the link provided below no later than 4th of April to be categorized and answered by our invited speakers. There would also be sometimes at the end specified for questions and answers.
Do you think you can afford a home in town? Do you know when to buy, where to buy, and what to buy? Are you aware of the common mistakes most home buyers (specifically first-time buyers) make? Do you know the mortgage rules play out in Alberta? Do you know how to negotiate the best price? If you are seeking the answers for these questions, please join us on Friday, June 27th, on a seminar organized by ISAUA and presented by Iranian Real Estate Agent Mrs. Nooran Ostadeian. She will focus on residential real estate in Edmonton. There will be a guest speaker, Mrs. Afshar of Investors Group, who will discuss the mortgage and financing issues.
Please ask you relevant questions at this link before June 25th to be answered by our guest speakers.
