The Iranian Students’ Association of University of Alberta is a non-political, non-profit, cultural student group that began in 2000, that tries to gather together all Iranian students and university affiliated persons, regardless of cultural background. Our aim is to ensure that the Iranian culture is represented in a respectful and fun manner, in any activities we organize or are a part of. From the Nowruz (Iranian New Year) to Yalda (Winter Solstice Celebration) and Char Shanbeh Soori (Fire festival celebrating arrival of spring) celebrations, ISAUA makes sure the heritage of Iran is celebrated in a positive way.
